The book “English for Chemical Engineering: A handbook for advanced learners of English is intended for non-native students of Chemical Engineering. It has been designed with the overall aim of helping students to extend their knowledge of English while developing their academic writing skills by using texts that are relevant to their studies.A wide variety of authentic material is employed in this book ranging from textbooks to research articles and, to a lesser extent, to popular science magazines with a view to engaging students with the writing conventions of different text types and, at the same time, enhancing their knowledge of specialised English through topics that are of particular interest to Chemical Engineers.
